Barbara Dymock and Chris Marra
Barbara started singing publicly as a medical student in Dundee, where she sang with the female acapella band Fair Game and with Ceol Beg. Later she sang in the acapella band Palaver (with Chris Miles, Aileen Carr and the late Maureen Jelks), and more recently with Chris Marra (brother of the late Dundonian singer-songwriter Michael Marra) who accompanies her vocally and on guitar. She also joined Aileen Carr and Janice Reavell in the acapella trio Choras whom some of you will remember from our 60th Anniversary Festival in 2022.
Chris and Barbara last visited us in October 2014, and we look forward to hearing again their mix of traditional and contemporary folk song with Chris’s imaginative guitar accompaniment.
