JOHN MALCOLM

A former member of the folk group Cruachan, John sings and plays guitar; he has also been writing songs for many years, winning a song-writing competition during Glasgow’s year of culture in 1990.  His varied material mixes traditional Scottish and Irish songs with American blues and self-penned material.

John has recently produced his third album entitled Memento, consisting of 12 self-penned songs. Previous albums featured songs in Scots, created from the poems of Angus poet Marion Angus.
