SING-AROUND SESSION WITH DAVID FAYLE

David is a singer with over twenty years of experience. Initially classically trained, he has branched into folk music as part of a larger passion for folklore, culminating in a Master’s degree from the Elphinstone Institute at the University of Aberdeen. His current work involves analysing the way that folk songs and stories are formed, from melodic styles to lyrical commonplaces to performance context. His ever-expanding repertoire includes songs native to the North-East, old traveller ballads, and staples from his Welsh heritage.
